Islamorada Offshore Fishing

Just off the Keys barrier reef system lies the Atlantic Ocean and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. Just a few miles offshore of Key Largo, Islamorada and Marathon, the stream reaches depths of 600 feet. Travel a little further offshore and the depths approach 2,000 feet. These warm Islamorada offshore waters produce some of the finest offshore fishing in the world. This is why Islamorada is known as "The Sport Fishing Capital of the World". You can expect catches of Mahi-Mahi, the acrobatic Sailfish, Swordfish and Marlin or the high speed thrills that are delivered by rocket-like Wahoo and Kingfish. This is Islamorada offshore fishing at it's finest. Fishing methods include trolling, but mostly it's live bait light tackle fishing.
